Peer Support Disclosure

Peer support:
Focuses on understanding and connection
Encourages self-reflection and personal agency
Does not involve diagnosis, treatment, or advice-giving
Peer support does not replace professional care and may be used alongside other supports.
Mediation Disclosure
Mediation is a voluntary, neutral process designed to support communication, understanding, and collaborative problem-solving.
The mediator does not take sides
The mediator does not provide legal advice
Agreements reached through mediation are created by the participants
Mediation outcomes depend on participant engagement and willingness to communicate.
Confidentiality & Privacy
Conversations are treated with care and respect.
There are limits to confidentiality, including situations where there is concern about:
Immediate risk of serious harm to self or others
Abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable individual
Other situations where reporting is legally required
If safety concerns arise, the focus may shift toward helping individuals connect with appropriate support, trusted adults, or emergency resources.
Safety & Mandated Reporting
This practice follows applicable mandatory reporting requirements.
If information shared indicates a credible risk of harm or legally reportable concerns, appropriate steps may be taken to support safety.
When possible, transparency and respect are prioritized in these situations.
