Non-Clinical Nature of Services
Bridging Seasons provides non-clinical services. This means:
No mental health diagnosis is made.
No psychotherapy, counseling, or treatment is provided.
No medical, psychiatric, or behavioral health care is administered.
No legal advice or attorney services are offered.
Individuals seeking clinical treatment or legal counsel are encouraged to contact a licensed professional in those fields. Bridging Seasons may offer referrals upon request.
Mediation Services
Mediation through Bridging Seasons is a neutral, voluntary, and future-focused process designed to help parties communicate, explore options, and work toward mutually agreeable solutions.
Mediation services:
Do not provide legal representation.
Do not offer legal advice.
Do not advocate for one party over another.
Should be reviewed by independent legal counsel before filing agreements with the court.
Participation in mediation does not establish a therapeutic relationship or attorney–client relationship.
Peer Support Services
Peer support at Bridging Seasons is grounded in:
lived experience,
trauma-informed practice,
empowerment,
emotional safety, and
collaborative connection.
Peer support services:
Are non-clinical
Are not crisis counseling
Do not replace therapy or medical care
Peer support is intended to complement existing supports, not substitute for licensed mental health treatment.
Group Facilitation
Group sessions offered by Bridging Seasons are supportive, educational, and connection-based spaces. They are not therapy groups, not processing groups, and not designed to resolve conflict between participants.
While confidentiality is encouraged, it cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of group settings.
Group participation should not be used as a replacement for:
mental health therapy,
couples or family counseling,
custody or visitation decision-making, or
legal mediation processes.
Youth & Minor Participation
Bridging Seasons provides youth-focused support and group facilitation in a developmentally appropriate, non-clinical format.
In accordance with Nebraska law:
Individuals under 19 years of age require parent or guardian consent to participate in any service.
Youth offerings are educational and support-centered; they do not include diagnosis or clinical treatment.
Bridging Seasons reserves the right to decline or refer services if a minor’s needs exceed the scope of non-clinical support.
Mandated Reporting
Bridging Seasons is a mandated reporter in the State of Nebraska.
If concerns arise regarding the safety or welfare of a:
minor,
elder, or
vulnerable adult,
a report must be made to the appropriate authorities.
This responsibility overrides confidentiality when safety is at risk.
